There are so many examples which show that Ayurveda deals with so many topics of our daily life. The ancient Rishis were full of knowledge of other fields and laid down so many rules and regulation to make our professional and social life easy and respectable.

He should carry umbrella, keep a walking stick and wear proper shoes. His dress should not be ostentatious and his mind should always be well-disposed and jolly natured. His speech agreeable and shows that he is for the well being of universe. His manners should be unpretentious. He should be a friend of all creatures and must sure about getting proper assistance in his work.”

When a physician should make a home visit/////

“the physician, who has begun his practice in this manner, should visit the patent’s house after making sure that patent’s messenger symptoms of the patent and other things are omen and auspicious. Having seated him self he should subject the patent for examination by inspection, palpation and interrogation. Some authority says tat these three are sufficient for making a diagnosis some differs and advice using six ways of diagnosis.”

Social conduct of a physician>>>>

“A physician should never make a home visit without invitation. He must scrutinize the omen signs of prognosis as soon as he enters the house. He should be confined to the patent only, never gazes any thing other than the patent. He should not exchange smile with the women or the female servant of the patents household. He should never call a woman by her maiden name but should prefix honorable terms. He must not accept any gift with out the knowledge of her husband. He must not develop intimacy, a relation or a love with them. Physician should not make his entry without announcing himself. He should neither talk nor stay with a women in secrecy. These guideline were laid down by Charak and Sushruta all most 5000 years back, but have the same importance today also.
